The revolutionary BERNINA Stitch Regulator (BSR) Foot #42 enables you to master in minutes what used to require hours of practice. Consistent free-motion is now easier than ever with this innovative, patented system.

BSR Foot #42 comes with three easily interchangeable soles to meet any free-motion stitching need: the Closed Metal sole, Open Metal sole, and a Large Transparent sole.

The BSR foot also offers two different free-motion stitching modes - choose between having the needle in constant motion or only in motion when you are moving the fabric.

When free-motion stitching with the BSR, choose to sew using the foot control or with a Start/Stop button located on the head of the machine.

All of the BERNINA Stitch Regulator compatible machines offer the straight stitch option for your free-motion stitching, while the artista models also add a Zigzag stitching option as well. (Note: Zigzag stitch option only available on artista 730, 640, 630 and upgraded 200 models.)
