Mike and I (well, more Mike than me) have been working on this since January and it is almost finished - the online shopping portion of the site will be up and running within the next few weeks.

irelandGarnet and I spent three weeks in Ireland last month and we had a wonderful time! I taught in Dublin and Belfast and I was lucky to have a great group of students at both venues. Everyone treated us like royalty and I have never eaten as much as I did on this trip. We have a lovely sampling of quilts from both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland which Garnet shows at his trunk shows. So far he has been to Ottawa, Kingston and Thames Valley in London. We hope to have the samples and class requirements from the Irish teachers on the website by the end of this month. You are all in for quite a treat when you see the class samples! This year we have decided to include admittance to the quilt show for the days that you are signed up for classes. We will also be having a full dinner on the Saturday night, as well as, entertainment and awards to the Irish quilters for first, second and third Viewers Choice.

The new shop in London is going very well, especially the workshops. We have a waiting list for several of the full classes. Everyone is enjoying the new, spacious classroom with lots of room for every student. We have a wide variety of classes including Learn to Sew, Make your clothes, Mastering your Sewing Machine, Serger Club, Bernina Club and Pfaff Club. Of course, we still have quilting classes, Learn to Quilt and Learn to Machine Quilt. Next week is March break and we have two different childrenʼs classes scheduled for the week, one is making their own pyjama pants and the other is a rag pillow. We will be having a childrenʼs quilt class on Saturdays and summer camp in July and August.

We will be starting both Embroidery Club and Embroidery software classes in the new session starting in May. Watch for samples of the summer workshops later this spring.

Donʼt forget that we offer machine quilting at both shops and scissor sharpening at the north London shop. We also have three fully trained sewing machine/ serger technicians working at the shop so, there is never a long wait for your machine!

We all look forward to seeing you at the shop (either one) in the near future,

Suzanne
